On Friday, February 7, 2025, IFEZ held the "WALK&RUN" event, inviting citizens to participate ahead of the opening of the 3rd Bridge. A total of around 4,000 citizens joined the event, with approximately 2,000 walking and 2,000 running across the bridge. Participants enjoyed beautiful sea views and cityscapes as they experienced the 3rd Yeonryuk Bridge, connecting Yeongjong and Cheongna, one month before its official opening. Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok also joined the event, walking alongside citizens. This large-scale event marked the first time the general public was able to experience the bridge, showcasing its potential as a new space for leisure and recreation. The 3rd Yeonryuk Bridge, scheduled to open in January 2026, is a 4.68 km long, 6-lane sea bridge, which will feature pedestrian and bicycle paths, a maritime observatory, and various other recreational facilities.
