On November 30, 2025 (Saturday), IFEZ held the "National Duathlon Event to Celebrate the Opening of the Third Yeonryuk Bridge," opening the upper part of the bridge to the public for the first time. The event was organized to promote the bridge, which is scheduled to open in January 2026, and celebrate it with citizens. About 500 participants from across the country gathered for a duathlon course consisting of a 5km run, a 40km cycling segment, and a 10km run, circulating through Cheongna's urban area and the Third Yeonryuk Bridge. The Third Yeonryuk Bridge is a 4.68km-long, six-lane sea bridge connecting Cheongna International City and Yeongjong International City, featuring pedestrian paths, cycling paths, the world's highest 184m sea observation deck, and edge walk facilities as part of its extreme tourism design.
