On February 19, 2025 (Wednesday), Amkor Technology Korea held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new semiconductor test building at its Songdo plant located in the Songdo International City Advanced Industrial Cluster (B). This project, supported by KRW 266.1 billion in foreign direct investment, will expand production capacity by constructing a new manufacturing building, cleanroom facilities, and advanced process equipment, resulting in a total floor area of 46,200㎡. Targeting mass production in 2027, the expansion is expected to strengthen global semiconductor supply-chain competitiveness, respond to rising market demand, and contribute to regional job creation.
